MRAA presents award to USCGA Flotilla

OAK PARK, Ill. – The Marine Retailers Association of America has awarded United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 10-13 with the National Vessel Safety Check/Marine Dealer Visitation Award for 2003, MRAA said in a recent release.

This award is given annually by MRAA to the top-producing Flotilla in the nation for work in the Auxiliary’s Vessel Safety Check/Marine Dealer Visitation program.

Flotilla 10-13 is commanded by Kenneth Hall and is in the First Southern Coast Guard Region.

District Commodore Nicholas Kerigan accepted the award at the Coast Guard Auxiliary national conference in Costa Mesa, Calif., on Sept. 4, and will personally present the award to the flotilla at one of its local events.

“MRAA feels the education provided by the Auxiliary is a prime method to insure a more pleasurable boating experience and we commend them for their efforts,” said Phil Keeter, MRAA president.
