DADEVILLE, Ala. — Blue Creek Marina, a family-owned, full-service boat dealership and marina since 1990, was one of only two 100 percent customer service index (CSI) scores at this year’s annual Cobalt Boats Worldwide dealer meeting, held in Atlanta, Ga., Cobalt reported in a statement today.
Blue Creek Marina beat out 93 other dealers and tied for first for the Top Worldwide Cobalt CSI award along side Paris Marine of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, according to the company.
Cobalt measures the levels of customer service through customer surveys after new boats are delivered to its customers. Results from the surveys are used to create the CSI, the company said.
“We are grateful to have dealers like Blue Creek Marina. Dealers that provide consistent high levels of customer service is why Cobalt continues to earn the J.D. Power and Associates award for Highest in Customer Satisfaction for Large Runabout Boats,” said Cobalt Marketing Director Bret Chilcott.
Blue Creek Marina was also awarded Cobalt’s Platinum Dealer award for the fourth year in a row, and Cobalt’s Million Dollar Dealer award for the third straight year, the company stated.
Austin Singleton, Blue Creek Marina’s general manager, attributes the dealership’s success to not only his dedicated team of employees, but also innovative programs that the team has implemented, such as the “boat loaner” program.
In this program, if a customer encounters a problem with his boat, Blue Creek Marina provides a complimentary loaner until the problem is rectified, the company reported.
“We’ve never left anyone stranded out on the lake,” added Singleton. “If our customer runs into difficulty in getting their boat back to the docks, we go out and safely tow them in. It may not seem like much, but it goes along way in the mind of the customer.”
