Marine Mover: National City Recreation Finance extends its national reach

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National City Recreation Finance division has appointed Dick Bley as regional manager for the western region of the United States, announced Alan M. Zang, senior vice president and national sales manager, in a statement today.

In addition, Zang named Daniel A. Borsch, vice president, to support the division’s western expansion. Borsch will support Bley’s efforts and focus on building and expanding dealer and manufacturer relationships throughout the West Coast and Southwestern regions.

The announcement was made today at the RVIA National Trade Show at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center where National City is exhibiting.

“In the four months since the nationwide expansion of our Recreation Finance division, we have built a solid and growing team serving the Midwest, Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions,” said Zang. “With the addition of Dick and Daniel to our team, we are now in an extraordinary position to develop a substantial and powerful sales force in the West Coast and Southwest regions to become the premier lender to marine and RV dealers and manufacturers across the United States.”

Dick Bley has 28 years of experience in the financial services industry and previously served as director of national indirect sales for E*Trade Financial/Ganis Credit Corp. in Costa Mesa, Calif., the company reported. He also was regional center manager / vice president for Chase Manhattan Financial Corp. and vice president of Security Pacific Business Finance.

Daniel Borsch comes to National City from Deutsche Financial E*Trade, where he served as the regional sales manager for the Western and Southwestern regions in marine finance. Previously at Chemical Financial /Chase, Borsch also managed indirect consumer lending with recreational vehicles, marine and manufactured housing, according to National City.

With over 50 years of experience in marine and recreational vehicle (RV) financing in the Midwest, National City is now offering its brand of financing options and products to manufacturers and dealers nationwide. In addition to its outside sales force, National City Recreation Finance has created an inside sales team, a Dealer Sales Support Center and a core underwriting group dedicated solely to marine and RV dealers.
