Change in positions takes place at Jeppesen Marine

DENVER — Jeppesen Marine recently reported that some key employees are changing positions, and in addition, the company has hired a new team member in the U.S.

The primary change involves the company’s worldwide Product Management organization being consolidated under Francesco Altamura. As new Senior Light Marine Product Manager, Altamura will oversee market introduction of key new products and services, while working to build up the Light Marine Product Management organization and processes, the company said. Altamura will work out of Jeppesen’s Massa, Italy, office.

In another move, Andrea Buralli has transitioned from European Market Management into the newly established position of Global Light Marine Marketing Manager, the company said. Buralli will also work in the Massa office, but he joins the team of Jeppesen Marine Senior Marketing Manager Michelle Buckalew, based at Jeppesen corporate headquarters in Denver.

Buralli’s former position in European Market Management will be taken over by Gianluca Tucci. In his new role, Tucci will continue to oversee Jeppesen Marine’s OEM business while extending his scope of responsibilities to include charting products and services.

In addition, Scott MacDonald will join the Jeppesen Light Marine Business Unit as American Market Manager. His office will be based in Florida.

“Over the last 24 months, we’ve seen unprecedented challenges and Jeppesen Marine — like everybody in our industry — has had to adjust,” Light Marine Division Director James Detar said in the release. “At the same time, we’ve been pursuing expansion of key business partnerships and planning exciting new products and services. When market conditions do improve, Jeppesen Marine will be positioned to lead the way with a strong, efficient organization and great new products.”
