NMRA elects new officers and board members

ORLANDO, Fla. – During the annual National Marine Representatives Association (NMRA) meeting at the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show (MAATS) in Orlando, Fla., the organization announced its new 2009-2010 officers and board members, NMRA reported in a recent statement.

Jeff Gueterman of GSW & Associates, Apex, N.C., is now the president of NMRA. Assuming the position of past president is Tim Luehmann of SM Osgood Co., Eden Prairie, Minn., according to NMRA.

“As president of NMRA, I’ll work to continue to promote the opportunities independent sales reps offer the marine industry,” said Gueterman. “During these tough economic times, reps can help expand a manufacturer’s reach, visiting dealers and distributors they might not have the capital or manpower to contact.”

Rick Silverlake of Silverlake West Co., Huntington Beach, Calif., is stepping into the role of vice president and Chris Kelly of Waters & David Co., New Orleans, La., is now treasurer. Kathy Munzinger of Munzinger & Co., Springfield, Mo., joins the officers as secretary after serving on the NMRA board of directors.

Two new members were elected to serve a three-year term of the six-seat NMRA board of directors, according to the association. They are Ken Smaga of ComMar Sales LLC, Tiverton, R.I., and Chris Martorana of Macaroni Marketing, Watsonville, Calif.

They join the existing NMRA board members: Tom LaSanta of Anchor Sales and Marketing, Bayou Vista, Texas; Louis Diaz of Charles A. Perry & Co., Lexington, S.C.; Ivan Cross of Merifield Co., Camano Island, Wash., and W.M. (Pat) Black of W.M. Black & Co., Mentor-On-The-Lake, Ohio.
