Boating and Motor Boating name ad directors

WINTER PARK, Fla. – John McEver, publisher of Bonnier Corp.’s Motor Boating, and newly acquired, Boating magazines, has named advertising directors for both publications, the company reported in a release today.

Vito Miceli will be the advertising director for Motor Boating and Rhonda Mock will fill the same position for Boating. The promotions, effective immediately, will help focus each brand on its strategic sales and marketing programs, Bonnier said.

Miceli brings more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry to his new position and is currently in his third stint at Motor Boating. He first joined the magazine in 1992 as brokerage sales manager before returning twice.

“I have come full circle and I’m happy to be back home at Motor Boating,” Miceli commented on his promotion to advertising director of the brand he has sold for nearly 15 years.

Mock, who has worked on Bonnier’s marine titles for nearly 10 years, was associate publisher of Boating Life for the past five years. Before her promotion to associate publisher, she spent two years as its advertising director.

“Rhonda’s experience and understanding of the marketplace give Boating’s clients a trusted professional to work with as the marine category recovers,” said McEver. “We’re strategic partners with our advertisers, and part of our job is to support them with new programs that are beneficial to them.”
