Former dealership owner appointed Nordic Tugs CEO

BURLINGTON, Wash. – The Nordic Tugs, Inc., board of directors recently appointed Andy Lund as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO), the boat builder reported in a recent statement.

Lund owned one of the largest Grand Banks dealerships in the United States from 1995-2001 and served on the NW Yacht Brokers Association board of directors for five years, according to the company. An avid boater, he sold his Grand Banks dealership in 2001 and has spent the past few years cruising from the Puget Sound through the Panama Canal, across the Atlantic and around Europe on a long-range trawler, stated Nordic Tugs.

Lund spent the first 21 years of his career in the U.S. Air Force in logistics and transport. He then served as chief operating officer (COO) and CEO of a privately held manufacturing company, and during his tenure, doubled the company’s sales revenue prior to selling the business in 1995, the company stated.

David Goehring, Nordic Tugs’ long-time chief financial officer (CFO), has been serving as company president since the untimely passing of previous President/CEO Jim Cress in October 2008. He will continue to serve the company as vice president and CFO, the boat builder reported.
