Brunswick names deputy general counsel

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Brunswick Corp. has named Kristin M. Coleman as its deputy general counsel and assistant secretary, reporting to Lloyd C. Chatfield, vice president, general counsel and secretary, the company said in a release this week.

Coleman will be responsible for corporate securities law, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance, as well as legal support for finance, treasury, internal audit, investor relations and shareholder services.

“Kristin is first and foremost an exceptional attorney, but even more importantly,” Chatfield said, “she has distinguished herself by continuing to find ways to add value at every level of the organization. Kristin will be a tremendous addition to the corporate legal function.”

Coleman joined Brunswick in 2003 and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility, including associate general counsel for Brunswick Corp. Most recently, she served as vice president and general counsel for Brunswick Bowling & Billiards. Prior to joining Brunswick, Coleman was an attorney with Sidley Austin Brown & Wood in Chicago.
