Edson names new vice president
NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – Edson International has promoted Peter Burlinson to vice president of the company’s pump division, Edson said in a press release Wednesday.
A member of the Edson team since 1992, Burlinson previously held the position of pump sales manager. In his new position, he will oversee the overall direction of Edson’s industrial and marine pump product lines and sales force and will report directly to company president Will Keene.
“Peter has been a key employee at Edson for 14 years,” Keene said. “Under his direction, the pump division has seen tremendous growth. Our Industrial Pump Division as well as our Marine Pump Out product line have grown into national prominence because of Peter’s technical know-how and hands-on approach.”
Burlinson is originally from Fairfield, Conn. Prior to joining Edson, he was a partner in Seal Tech Corp. from 1982 to 1992. Upon graduating from Fairfield University he did a tour in the Army before beginning his industrial marketing career with what is now Sealed Air Corp.
