Monterey Expands Elite Series with the Elite 23, 34 and 38
Monterey Boats just introduced the new Elite 23, expanding its Elite Series of adventure boats. The addition brings the lineup to 23–30 feet, with the Elite 34 and Elite 38 models scheduled to follow in the summer and fall of this year.
Based on full-year 2025 Statistical Surveys data, the Elite Series delivered category-leading year-over-year retail growth, according to the company, achieving more than 20x expansion in registrations. Since its debut, the Elite Series has earned a three-award industry trifecta, including a Boat of the Year award, the Miami Innovation Award, and Boating Industry’s Top Product honor.
“The Elite Series was conceived as a cohesive family of boats from the beginning,” said Charles Marshall, co-Chairman of Monterey Boats, in a news release. “We focused on hull performance, handling precision, craftsmanship, and long term ownership value. The Elite 23 carries those same fundamentals into a critical size category, and that same philosophy will continue as we introduce the Elite 34 and Elite 38. Together, these introductions reflect a deliberate expansion strategy designed to strengthen the Elite Series at both entry and upper premium tiers.”
Monterey also confirmed continued selective expansion of its Elite-focused dealer network in 2025 while maintaining a performance-driven distribution strategy across North America and key international markets.
“We approach network growth with discipline,” said Kim Loenichen, Vice President of Sales, in the release. “The Elite Series requires dealers who understand premium retail execution and long-term customer relationships. Expansion must strengthen territories, protect profitability, and sustain retail performance.”
Looking ahead, the Elite 23 marks the next phase of Monterey’s Elite Series expansion, with the Elite 34 scheduled to launch in summer 2026 and the Elite 38 to follow in fall 2026, according to the company.
