Siren Marine selects Morey as hardware partner

Siren Marine, a vessel monitoring and tracking technology company, and creator of Connected Boat, announced IoT hardware solutions provider Morey has been named the hardware partner for its next-generation boat monitoring, tracking and security product. Designed “by boaters, for boaters,” Siren Marine’s suite of monitoring products are built to allow boat owners, fleet operators and boat builders to track a boat’s location, receive alerts when critical events occur, access engine metrics and control onboard devices remotely.

Siren Marine’s monitoring device connects to sensors around the boat and sends alerts to phones, tablets or computers when critical conditions occur, such as water in the bilge, high/low temperature and unauthorized access. Onboard devices, including lights or air conditioning can be controlled remotely, and the built-in GPS tracks the position and movement of the vessel. New features include wireless sensors, fleet management capabilities, video capture, satellite connectivity and an NMEA interface.

Morey is supporting the project through design engineering, production readiness and manufacturing services to bring prototype product designs to market via its innovation center and manufacturing facility in suburban Chicago. The ruggedized hardware and GPS technologies will work together to analyze and transmit data to a user’s mobile application to protect the owner’s investment and passengers.
