Garage Composites, the parent company of Sam’s Watersports Dock, is announcing a new opportunity for marine dealerships at the upcoming Marine Dealer Conference & Expo.
The dealership training company, led by the MDCE’s closing keynote speaker Sam Dantzler, will be offering 20 clubs for the first time in the marine industry. Dantzler and Garage Composites already offer 20 club service in the motorcycle industry, providing their moderation, leadership and training assistance to 200 dealerships.
Starting in 2017, Dantzler will be expanding his marine dealership training to moderate 20 clubs, a peer review process that incorporates data sharing and best practices development.
“The priority for our 20 clubs is ensuring dealership owners and GMs understand the potential of their stores,” said Dantzler. “We pinpoint what your sales volume and profitability should be today, not focus on what you did last year. Our business mindset and staffing decisions have to reflect what is happening in the dealership today, not what your sales volume was last year.”
Marine dealers will be able to use Garage Composites’ online portal to take part in the 20 clubs and thus be able to see how their operation fares in key sales, service and parts profitability benchmarks vs. other dealers across the nation. The online portal, currently used by dealers in the motorcycle industry, will feature marine-specific categories and benchmarks.
