OneWater Marine Holdings has added Lookout Marine of Somerset and Sea Ray of Lake Cumberland of Bronston, Kentucky, to its network of dealerships.
It is the second acquisition of the year for the Atlanta-based company, following Florida's SunDance Marine in February. OneWater was formed in 2014 with the merger of Boating Industry Top 100 dealer Singleton Marine and 2012 and 2013 Top 100 Dealer of the Year Legendary Marine. OneWater's holdings now include more than 20 locations, including former Top 100 dealers Rambo Marine and Phil Dill Boats.
Jimmy and Jimbob Troxtell, former owners of Lookout and Sea Ray of Lake Cumberland, will continue to operate both dealerships under the consolidated name of Lookout Marine.
“With 5 million visitors who bring more than $150 million to the area each year, the Lake Cumberland region is a boater’s paradise and its proximity to our north Georgia and northern Alabama facilities, represents a natural fit for our northern expansion,” said Anthony Aisquith, COO of OneWater Marine Holdings. “Also, adding two of the most popular boat brands in Sea Ray and Bayliner to our growing brand portfolio, while strengthening our existing relationship with Bennington in one of the largest pontoon markets nationally, are just a few of the reasons we’re excited about our future together with Lookout Marine.”
“We’re excited to join an innovative organization with such aggressive growth plans,” said Jimmy Troxtell. “Joining OneWater allows us to offer greater employee benefits to our loyal team members and more attractive incentives to our customers that aren’t available to us as an independent dealer.”
“Lookout Marine customers will benefit greatly from OneWater’s massive used boat distribution network, exclusive finance and insurance programs, and standardized operations that leverage best practices learned from the best dealerships in the industry. I’m really excited that our customers will get to experience this with us,” said Lookout general manager Jimbob Troxtell.
Sea Ray of Lake Cumberland will change its name to Lookout Marine but continue to operate from its current location in Bronston, Kentucky. All existing personnel will remain with the company and Lookout will continue to offer Sea Ray, Bayliner, Bennington, Lund and Avalon boats, plus loose outboards from Mercury, Honda and Yamaha, the company said.
