EdgeWater launches new 248 Crossover
EDGEWATER, Fla. — EdgeWater Power Boats introduced the new 248CX Deep-V Dual Console. This new model will be on display at the 2016 Palm Beach International Boat Show on March 17-20, 2016.
Designed to perform with a single outboard, the EdgeWater 248CX is equipped with a Yamaha F300 four-stroke outboard. This new model features EdgeWater’s most ergonomic and sophisticated deck design for a dual console to date, along with the builder’s advanced Single Piece Infusion (SPI) hull construction. The new design, driven by customer feedback and direction, was built to improve upon the design of the popular 245CX model.
The 248CX features a redesigned bow seating area with plusher amenities, including forward-facing seat backs with built-in armrests. The forward storage boxes are insulated and have a new separated box design with a remote latch system. The helm provides improved ergonomics for the captain and offers enough dash space to accommodate a 16” Garmin screen.
The 248CX showcases EdgeWater’s patent-pending port-side Ultra Lounger back-to-back seat with insulated fish box storage and six different seating configurations. The bait prep station also is a modern design with many different configurations; options include a removable premium cooler storage, grill, sink, storage and/or cutting board. These new additions create a more spacious cockpit with a full transom-width fold-out seat, while maintaining a large transom baitwell. The transom walkthrough provides easy access to water sports.
