SEATTLE – SmartPlug Systems has named Tony Barber as its new CEO. Barber replaces founder Ken Smith as the company's top executive, who remains on to serve as senior executive officer and active board member. Smith began the company in 2007.
Barber brings over 37 years of innovative manufacturing expertise to SmartPlug. Most recently, he worked for Thetford. He then became global business unit manager, responsible for residential business strategy, sales and marketing.
"Tony has a broad knowledge of the marine, RV, specialty vehicle, and industrial marketplaces," said Smith. "His deep understanding of sales and marketing, coupled with his technical background, promise an exciting future for SmartPlug as we explore new opportunities."
