West Marine to donate $30,000 to youth boating programs

West Marine announced that nominations for the 2015 youth boating grants are being accepted until July 31.

West Marine’s Blue Future Fund is distributing a total of $30,000 to 501(c) 3 organizations that support youth boating projects. Dozens of youth boating organizations throughout the country have already been nominated. Full details and eligibility requirements plus recently nominated programs are available at westmarine.com/BlueFuture/Youth-Boating. Winning organizations will be posted at the West Marine website on August 13.

Set up in 2015, West Marine’s Blue Future Fund supports marine conservation, sustainable fisheries and youth boating. On June 8, a percentage of all sales at West Marine’s retail and online outlets were donated to the Blue Future Fund, raising a total of $70,000.
