RBFF appoints KYS’ Lou Sandoval to National Board of Directors
CHICAGO, Ill. – The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) based in Alexandria, Virginia, recently named Karma Yacht Sales Co-Owner Lou Sandoval to a three year term on their board of directors. The official appointment came at the January 2014 board meeting in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Sandoval brings over 25 years of experience in business in the specialties of marketing, sales and business development. He has served as an opinion leader in the marine industry and is active on several professional and civic boards. In 2013, Sandoval was a finalist in Boating Industry Magazine’s –“Movers and Shakers”.
“We are delighted to have Lou on our Board of Directors,” said RBFF President and CEO Frank Peterson. “His deep knowledge of the marine industry coupled with his extensive experience in business development, sales and marketing are great assets to our organization, especially as we look to diversify our target audience and bring more Hispanic families into fishing and boating.”
“It is an honor to be named to the board” said Sandoval. “I’m really looking forward to getting to work on some of the exciting initiatives RBFF has planned for growing boating.”
Lou Sandoval is active on the board of the Yacht Broker’s Association of America (YBAA), Recreational Boating Leadership Council (RBLC) and the Chicago Yacht Club. Aside from his professional endeavors, Lou is an involved community leader who believes in giving back. He is an active supporter of youth development organizations including the local council of the Boy Scouts of America where he serves as Council Commissioner and is a member of the Executive board for the Council. He believes in proactively addressing the issues facing his local community.
