UNION, N.J. – The Interlux Waterfront Challenge is calling for the boating community to vote on Facebook to help judges choose regional winners for the 2011 contest. Interlux will award $50,000 in grants to organizations that have created sustainable waterfront environmental improvements in their community.
The contest page can be accessed on Facebook. Qualifying projects are posted on the wall for the contest page, and the project receiving the most likes in each region will receive one vote. The vote will be counted with the votes of the Waterfront Challenge board to determine the regional winner.
The contest is open through Sept. 30, and winners, along with one national winner, will be announced at the Interlux booth at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show on Friday, Oct. 28.
