Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
BALTIMORE — Marinalife recently unveiled significant upgrades to its Fuel Price Locator, which provides current fuel prices at individual marinas across the United States and Bahamas, according to a release from the company.
The Fuel Price Locator now allows for Marinalife members to search marina gas prices at a radius from their current location, ranging from one to 25 miles. The concierge and boating reservation service also made the process of updating fuel prices more convenient for individual partner marinas, more than 250 of which have updated their pricing to date, according to the release.
Individual marinas manage their own profile on Marinalife’s website, including posting current prices of the gas and diesel the marina offers. Members of the website can then search recently updated fuel prices at marinas, unveiling the location of the marina in the specified range and the date the price was last updated.
“Memorial Day weekend typically signals the start of the cruising season, at least on the East Coast, and we have been proactively encouraging our marina partners to update their fuel prices so that members go into the season well informed,” Joy McPeters, CEO of Marinalife, said in the release.
