Boat owners complain about BP reimbursement

ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The attorney general from Alabama is looking into complaints from boat owners who claim that BP didn’t follow through with payments.

The complaints come from boat owners who were registered in BP’s vessels of opportunity (VOO) program and assisted in the company’s response to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

According to a report by WKRG News in Mobile, the owners all sustained some sort of damage to their fishing boots while operating under the VOO auspices. The boat owners are all awaiting some sort of payment for the damages.
