SUMMERVILLE, S.C. - Zodiac of North America will soon have a new 40,000 square-foot manufacturing facility in Summerville, S.C. - the site of Scout Boats headquarters - devoted exclusively to manufacturing and distributing Zodiac rigid hull inflatable boats (RIBS) in the U.S., the company reported in a recent newsletter. It is scheduled to open in April 2006.
Earlier this year, Zodiac of North America signed a lease with Scout Boats for the new facility. About half the space will be devoted to manufacturing, and the other half for logistics for the Zodiac and AVON lines.
