Marine Transmission Center expands role with Aquadrive

UNION. N.J. – The Marine Transmission Center (MTC), a division of Mack Boring & Parts Co. that specializes in transmissions, water jets and drive systems, has expanded its relationship as an Aquadrive distributor, the company reported in a statement yesterday.

In its new role, MTC said it will gain exposure and increase sales for the manufacturer of antivibration drivelines.

“Our goal is to double sales in 2004, and we are off to a great start,” said Steve McGovern, marketing manager.

In addition to its sales goal for OEMs and dealers, MTC will work to build inventory, as well as amplify its advertising presence and boat show exposure, the company reported.

Aquadrive produces an antivibration system that it claims eliminates the need for hard mounts and careful engine alignment to the propeller shaft. In this design, the propeller shaft is connected to an Aquadrive thrust bearing that absorbs all of the propeller thrust and stabilizes the alignment, MTC stated.
