ALEXANDRIA, Va. – On-the-water towing service TowBoatU.S., has opened a port at the Lake Camping and Equipment Marina in Bolton Landing on Lake George, N.Y., according to a TowBoatU.S. release today.
The port is owned by Wayne Smith, a licensed Captain and life-long Bolton Landing resident, who has been providing on the water assistance to Lake George boaters for 18 years, TowBoatU.S. said.
“Lake George boaters can get in trouble at night when they travel outside the marked channels,” said Smith. “Rocky shoals, many just below surface, can’t be seen. We are able respond quickly calls for assistance and get boaters home safely.”
TowBoatU.S. Lake George will tow a vessel to any boat ramp, marina, or repair facility within the 25-mile service area.
“We let the boater make the decision who will fix their boat – not the other way around,” Smith said.
