TowBoatU.S. Lake Of The Ozarks opens

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – TowBoatU.S. has opened a location on Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., operated by United States Coast Guard licensed captain and former chief warrant officer Charles Meyer, TowBoatU.S. reported in a recent release.

The port is located at the 11-mile marker on the lake. Meyer has operated a towing concern on Lake of the Ozarks since 2001, according to TowBoatU.S.

“Now flying the familiar TowBoatU.S. flag, we hope to bring a new standard of service to the lake,” said Meyer. “Lake of the Ozarks has more shoreline than the coast of California, and there is a surprising amount of activity for a Midwestern lake. Large raft-ups are common, which after a long day can lead to dead batteries. More serious is swamping caused by a combination of overloading and wakes.”
