Flagship Marinas announces the completion of $1.3 million dock project

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A $1.5 million dock renovation has been completed at Lake Murray Marina in South Carolina, the Texas based Flagship Marinas said in a press release yesterday.

Four new member docks, with 150 member slips plus restaurant dockage, were built by Floating Dock Manufacturers, while Agnew Construction reconfigured the fuel and dry launch docks, Flagship, which provided construction management for the entire renovation – including design, layout, rehab, continual marina operation, and oversight, said.

“Lake Murray Marina is now one of the premier slip marinas in all of South Carolina,” Flagship project manager Kirby Cay Scheimann, CMM, said. “Due to the condition of the previous docks, we cut the power and began shuffling boats at the beginning of peak boating season. We managed to keep all of our boaters in an active slip while replacing four entire docks.”

Boat slips are now available for licensing to new members, and are projected to fill up fast, Scheimann said.

“Word is out on the lake,” Scheiman said. “The waiting list has grown nearly every day. Now that we have our current members settled in to their new slips, the remaining are ready and waiting.”
