Beacon Wi-Fi continues marina network expansion

WILTON, Conn. – Beacon Wi-Fi, a provider of high-speed wireless access to the Internet, has added 10 new locations to its marina network, the company reported in a statement today.

In New Jersey, the company has added Hudson Point Marina in Jersey City, and in Florida, Beacon has added Centennial Harbor, Fort Myers; Marina Jack, Sarasota; Miami Beach Marina, Miami; St. Petersburg Municipal Marina, St. Petersburg; Conch Harbor Marina, Key West; Oceanside Marina, Key West; A&B Marina, Key West; Galleon Marina, Key West; and Historic Marina of Key West, Key West.

“We exceeded our goals for 2003 and there are many marinas that we will add to the network in 2004,” said Chris Reitz, co-founder, Beacon Wi-Fi.

Russell Schmidt, also a co-founder, said the company considers 2003 its first “large-scale test” and the results give Beacon Wi-Fi “great confidence as we look to triple our size in 2004.”
