Water Works Wonders Tour reaches 250,000 people
CHICAGO, Ill. – The Water Works Wonders, The Boating and Fishing Experience Tour held its final event last week, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) reported in a recent statement.
The five-month tour reached 250,000 people, directly interacting with 58,500. More than 4,000 conversations were held with individuals who are looking to get started in boating and ready to purchase in the next 12-24 months, while nearly 10,000 people filled out forms to receive future direct marketing messages on boating and fishing, the association stated.
The tour, part of NMMA’s Discover Boating Program, will expand to seven months next year, kicking off in the spring. Events are already being planned, and many of the major sponsors from this year’s tour have confirmed that they will return in 2004, NMMA reported.
Meanwhile, Discover Boating Director Steve Tadd and other NMMA staff can be heard in weekly interviews with the radio show World of Boating, on every Saturday from noon to 1:00 p.m. (Eastern) on Sirius Satellite Radio, and roughly 25 talk radio stations around the country.
The air time is used to promote the boating lifestyle, boat shows, the mobile marketing tour, weekly boating tips, the Discover Boating program and more, according to the association.
