MarineMax to represent Ferretti Group

CLEARWATER, Fla. — MarineMax, Inc. (NYSE: HZO), will become the exclusive dealer for Italy-based Ferretti Group for Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line and CRN in North America, the Bahamas and the Caribbean, the company reported in a statement today.

MarineMax also will become the exclusive dealer for Bertram, in the United States, excluding the Florida Peninsula and certain portions of New England, according to the company.

Ferretti Group, which is headquartered in Forli, Italy, manufactures inboard fiberglass and aluminum-steel motoryachts and sport fishing convertibles that range in size from 21 feet to in excess of 200 feet.

The Ferretti Group is “…undergoing significant capital investments that will further allow us to expand our manufacturing capacity so we can better serve markets such as the United States, ” said Norberto Ferretti, chairman and president of the Ferretti Group.

After considering MarineMax’s relentless commitment to customer service and quality, our decision to expand with them was rather easy. In addition to this brand expansion, MarineMax has added its 66th location by adding Pershing and Riva specialist, Steve Myers, founder of Emarine, to the MarineMax team and assuming his facility in the Quay in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
