Matt Gruhn is publisher/editorial director of Boating Industry magazine, where he has served ever since Affinity Media began publishing the 80-year-old magazine in 2003. With more than 13 years of marine journalism experience and a lifelong passion for boating, Gruhn oversees editorial direction of Boating Industry in print and online, was integral in the creation of the Top 100 Dealers Program, and has most recently also taken the lead in Boating Industry’s role in helping to revamp the Marine Dealer Conference & Expo.

As an award-winning marine journalist, she interviews industry executives and researches their most pressing issues to fulfill Boating Industry’s mission to be a trusted source of proven solutions that deliver real results for its readers. Walz also presents at several industry events throughout the year, sharing insights into industry trends and best practices. In addition, Walz serves as an evaluator for Boating Industry’s Top 100 Dealers program and as a judge for both the Darlene Briggs Woman of the Year Award and Boating Writers International’s Annual Writing Contest.

Jon Mohr Jon Mohr – Managing Editor, Boating Industry

After several years as a sports reporter and editor at newspapers in Colorado and Minnesota, Jonathan Mohr began working for Boating Industry in 2004 as an associate editor and has since become the magazine’s managing editor, guiding the internal operations of the publication. Honored with awards for both writing and design during his career, Mohr also enjoys thrilling Las Vegas crowds with his singing voice. Attempts to transition his Rocky Mountain raft-guide training to competent powerboat piloting are ongoing.
