Maelstrom Marine names CEO
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Industry veteran Ken Hall has been hired as CEO of Maelstrom Marine, LLC to market their RipJet electric powered jet drive to the marine industry for worldwide distribution.
“We already have several PWC and boat manufacturers who’ve expressed interest in designing new watercraft around some of our prototype drives,” Hall said in a release. “The application for this product holds tremendous potential and will revolutionize the way propulsion systems are used.”
In addition, the release says Hall will be scouting locations around the state of Florida for a potential site to set up Maelstrom’s manufacturing facility.
“Ken Hall’s pedigree brings to market a wealth of design, engineering, production operations, strategic finance and corporate management,” the company said. “His roots go back to Sea Ray’s early days when C.N. Ray was at the helm. Ken has successfully masterminded the turnaround of fledgling lines such as Pro-Line Boats, Donzi Marine, Phoenix Yachts and SportCraft Boats into brand leaders. With over 30 years of dynamic leadership specific to the marine industry, his sales milestones have reached $100-plus million dollars a year.”
