CHICAGO – The National Marine Manufacturers Association has hired a new director of communications, NMMA reported in a recent statement.
Kari Straley, who will join NMMA on Monday, will be responsible for the association’s public relations and communications efforts out of the Chicago office.
She comes to NMMA from Salesforce.com, where she worked as the director of corporate communications. Salesforce.com grew from its inception in 2000 to a $52 million company with 7,000 customers globally in 2002. Prior to that, she was director of the digital consumer group for TSI Communications, and an account supervisor for Ketchum Advertising, NMMA said.
