MarineMax becomes BoatUS repair provider
Every hurricane season, some boat owners are faced with the need to file insurance claims and get their boats repaired. To make that process easier, MarineMax has now become a Repair Provider for BoatUS Marine Insurance Program members, who may get help with insurance claim repair work from the nation’s largest recreational boat retailer with dozens of local repair and service facilities across the U.S. This adds 45 more repair facilities across the country to the existing total of more than 100 that are available to BoatUS Marine Insurance Program insureds.
“This is a time-saver for our members,” said BoatUS Vice President of Claims Rick Wilson. “Sometimes when they have a claim and need repairs, boaters don’t know where to turn. We connect them to a reputable MarineMax location with highly qualified marine technicians and repairers. Linking our insureds to a large, well-established network of repair facilities that are recognized for their excellence will help ensure a good repair outcome and help our members get back on the water sooner.”
Wilson also said that working with a repair facility helps provide better levels of service. “Communication time is minimized, and there’s an increase in supportive service to insureds that won’t leave them guessing next steps.”
MarineMax National Parts and Service Manager Travis Fraley said, “The opportunity to work with such a well-known and respected brand was a no-brainer. We are excited to support BoatUS Marine Insurance Program members with the exceptional, world-class service experience that we provide all our customers. Our factory-certified service teams are the best in the business.”
Fraley added, “This opportunity will also help us meet new boaters and introduce them to all the great perks MarineMax has to offer. Our customer commitment extends beyond creating a lifetime of memories on the water. We’re here to help with service, routine maintenance, engine upgrades, storage options, and more.”
