Priority One mourns business manager

Priority One Financial Services, Inc. reports the passing of business manager, Lars Thurman. He passed away on March 19 after a battle with cancer.

Thurman was a member of the Priority One family since early 2015 and contributed to the growth and success of Priority One, the company said.

“Lars was loved and respected by all who knew him. His dealers continue to call me today to offer their condolences and thank us as they were always impressed by his professionalism and desire to serve,” said Rina Aponte, operations manager.  “I am grateful and honored to have worked with Lars over the years. His conversations, kindness, sense of humor and love for his family and friends will always be admired.”

Before joining Priority One, Thurman served for 10 years as the finance director for several large automotive dealer groups including AutoNation in the Tampa market. He was also certified as a finance professional by the Association of Finance & Insurance Professionals. Prior to the finance industry Thurman came up through the sales ranks in the healthcare industry and served as president and CEO of Asgard Alliance Corp. and president and COO of Fairfield Medical Products Corp.

Thurman is survived by his wife, Phyllis and daughter Lauren.
