Century Boats celebrates 90 years

Century Boats, a classic American boat company established in 1926 and based in Zephyrhills, Fla., is celebrating its 90th anniversary throughout 2016. Established in Milwaukee, Wis. in 1926, the Century Boats will expand in 2016 with the reintroduction of its Resorter model.

From the company’s current home in Zephyrhills, the Century brand was rekindled in 2012 when it was acquired from Yamaha Motor Corporation by privately-held, family-owned and Florida-based boat building company AllCraft Marine.

“We are so happy and fortunate to advance the Century brand as we celebrate 90 years of creating high-quality, high-performance boats that are familiar to, and loved by, enthusiasts all around the world,” said Bryan Lucius, president of Century Boats. “The Century Boats of today certainly embodies the spirit of its great legacy – and our entire team is proud to contribute to the growth of the Century brand from our home right here in Zephyrhills.”

New to the Century fleet in 2016 is the 24 Resorter. Homage to its namesake last produced more than 20 years ago, the new 24 Resorter is a 24-foot dual console model designed for family cruising, active water sports and serious fishing.

As Century Boats evolved through the decades – from runabouts of the 1930s to fishing machines of today – the company says the brand has remained committed to delivering innovation in design, craftsmanship and construction.
