Sunseeker wins 2016 Motor Boat Award
DORSET, U.K. – Sunseeker International has won the award for Best Sportscruiser over 45 feet at the 2016 Motor Boat Awards. The award was given to Sunseeker’s new three-cabin Predator 57 model, which was officially launched in January 2015.
The Motor Boat Awards shortlist includes every boat tested by Motorboat & Yachting Magazine during 2015, across eight main categories. Members of Sunseeker’s senior team – including CEO Phil Popham – were present to collect the award at a gala ceremony in London’s Rosewood Hotel on January 11.
The judging panel made the following comments on presenting the award: “Our winner combines exciting looks with generous living spaces, transformative features, top-notch quality and barn-storming performance.”
On accepting the award, Phil Popham said: “We have seen an extremely positive response to the Predator 57, which became our fastest-selling model to date in 2015 with over 50 retail orders in its first six months. It was built with yacht lovers’ desires and needs in mind to deliver the ultimate cruising experience, and we are delighted to receive this award to recognize its success. We constantly strive to innovate and build the best across our full range from 50-155 feet, and every element of this yacht has been carefully designed to provide the optimum experience for our customers.”
