Green Marine trade routes introduced at IBEX 2011
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The 2011 International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) introduced a Green Marine route at this year’s expo that will feature products that are eco-friendly and environmentally responsible.
“As the marine industry has seen an evolution to new, more efficient, and cleaner building processes, methods, and materials, we felt it important to create the Green Marine Route to generate more awareness of the industry’s efforts to produce more environmentally friendly products,” said Thom Dammrich, president of the National Marine Manufacturers Association, which co-produces the show.
The route will be open to manufacturers who meet at least one of the criteria below:
U.S.D.A. bio-preferred
Listed on the EPA Design For Environment (DFE) list
Have an EPA Green Check
Have the “Green Seal” rating, for paints and solvents
