ANACORTES, Wash. – Northern Marine was recently resurrected from bankruptcy with a new owner, Andy McDonald, who worked for the yacht manufacturer in two prior stints under Northern Founder Bud LeMieux, according to a press release from Northern.
McDonald’s last stretch with the yacht manufacturer started shortly before the investment group that had controlling interest in Northern chose to file for bankruptcy. Along with LeMieux, McDonald acquired all assets of the company out of bankruptcy and the company has again started building yachts, according to the release.
Northern Marine is currently has 64-, 80- and 95-foot yachts under construction. Going forward, McDonald said Northern’s goal is to deliver four to five yachts a year.
