West Marine schedules opening of North Palm Beach store
WATSONVILLE, Calif. – West Marine has scheduled the grand opening of its flagship store in North Palm Beach, Fla., for June 9-12.
Anglers and boaters can take part in the weekend celebration at the store, located at 11241 US Highway 1, just south of the PGA Boulevard in North Palm Beach. Festivities begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 7 p.m., Thursday through Saturday and until 6 p.m. on Sunday.
Jake Anderson of the fishing vessel Northwestern, as featured on Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch,” will be signing autographs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
Grand opening events also include a “Casting for a Cause” charity night on June 9 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the store. Tickets are $10 and available at the door or through the following local charities: Loggerhead Marine Life Center, the Snook Foundation, Lagoonkeepers, Teen Anglers and the Marine Industry Education Foundation. All of the proceeds will directly support these local charities. Attendees will enjoy food, drinks and live entertainment, plus a live and silent auction.
Jake Anderson will join the highest bidder on a fishing trip donated by Capt. Jonathan Wright of Au Breezy and Wright on Time Fishing Charters. Proceeds will benefit the attending charity of the bidder’s choice.
