SARASOTA, Fla. —The Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota, which was held April 15-17, reported a 20 percent increase in attendance over its 2009 numbers.
The show was re-launched this year after a short hiatus and a change to a new venue. This was the 29th year for the event.
The show included boats displayed by Gulf Coast boat builders and dealers along with a full range of marine electronics, products and accessories. Traffic was steady throughout the weekend, said organizers.
“Compared to 2009, attendance was up a total of 20 percent over three days,” said Efrem “Skip” Zimbalist III, CEO of Show Management, which presents the show. “We’re pleased with the results of the first year in this location and have received excellent feedback from the exhibitors.”
