Lido Yacht Expo attendance up 9 percent
IRVINE, Calif. — Attendance at the 31st annual Lido Yacht Expo increased 9 percent over 2008’s event, according to a release from organizers. The event in Newport Beach is the west coast’s final show of 2009, organizers said.
“We’re very pleased with the way this year’s show turned out,” Duncan McIntosh, the event’s producer, said in the release. “Even though the number of vessels was down, attendance was very strong.”
John Buettner of Stan Miller Yachts in Long Beach reported a successful show, with four offers signed at the show, three of which have already been accepted.
“It was a great show,” Bob Koepple of Bob Koepple Yacht Sales said in the release. “We wrote offers on all but one vessel we had on display.”
The Lido Yacht Expo is produced by the Duncan McIntosh Co. Inc., publisher of The Log Newspaper, Boating World and Sea magazines, and producer of the Newport Boat Show.
