IMBC releases preliminary brochure

WARREN, R.I. — The International Marina & Boatyard Conference (IMBC) preliminary brochure has been released and placed on the conference’s Web site: www.marinaassociation.org/imbc, organizers reported in a recent statement. The conference — scheduled to take place Jan. 27–29, 2010, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Fla. — is produced by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI).

IMBC’s brochure contains the show schedule with seminar descriptions, a list of current exhibitors and sponsors, details about IMBC’s special events, plans for the annual field trip, an agenda that features various networking opportunities, travel tips and IMBC’s discounts, instructions on how to register, and other conference information, AMI reported.

New additions and changes to the 2010 IMBC program include a Cigar Bar Networking Event, a different format for IMBC’s Industry Awards Reception, and a new schedule for IMBC’s annual field trip. The Industry Awards Reception will honor 2009 National Marina Day, and Marina Dock Age magazine award winners and feature IMBC’s closing seminar presented by Bill Yeargin of Correct Craft. The IMBC field trip has been moved from the last day of the conference to the first. The 2010 field trip will be held on Wed., Jan. 27, from 1:30 pm – 5:45 pm. Participants will return to the convention center just in time for IMBC’s opening reception at 6:00 pm on the show exhibit floor at the Tampa Convention Center.
