Fractional yacht ownership firm to begin offering shares

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Shared-yacht ownership company PartnerShips will begin selling shares at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which runs from Oct. 20 to Nov. 3., the company reported in a statement today.

PartnerShips’ inventory includes nearly a dozen yachts ranging in size from 85 to 145 feet, the company said, and it will be offering 20 percent shares in each. Several of its boats will be available for inspection during the show.

“We have developed a shared-yacht ownership and management program that provides owners with an economically responsible, hassle-free, cost-effective alternative to full-yacht ownership,” PartnerShips President Kent Chamberlain said.
