Clarks Landing purchases Skipjack Landing Marina

CHESTER, Md. – Clarks Landing Boat Sales has purchased Skipjack Landing Marina from Karen and Ralph Kirchner, it reported in a recent statement.

This two and a half acre marina located on Crab Alley Creek on Kent Island, Md., includes 70 slips as well as Service and Parts departments, and is a Maryland Clean Marina.

“Karen and Ralph Kirchner have owned and operated Skipjack Landing Marina for the past three decades and have done an incredible job building customer loyalty through their hard work and determination,” declared Jeff Truesdale, managing partner of Clarks Landing in Maryland.

“Our plans for the future include helping our customers enjoy the pleasure of the boating lifestyle without any of the hassle. These plans include turning Skipjack into a Clarks Landing Service Center,” stated Truesdale.

The staff has not changed since the purchase on August 31. “It is our wish that all of the employees who currently work at Skipjack’s will stay on board through this transition and continue on with Clarks Landing. We have very, very good people here,” said Truesdale.
