NMDA launches online product image library

ESSEX, Conn. – The National Marine Distributors Association (NMDA) has launched a free online library to provide access to up-to-date digital product images and information for use in catalogs, flyers, web pages, sell sheets and other marketing materials, it reported in a statement today.

Product manufacturers pay a fee to load their images into the searchable database with NMDA members receiving a discount.

“Outdated or obsolete product photos and information in catalogs and other marketing communications is an all-too-common problem for our industry,” said NMDA Executive Director Nancy Cueroni. “Our new online library is a useful resource for everyone involved in marine products marketing – distributors, manufacturers, manufacturers representatives, wholesalers, retailers, boat builders and advertising agencies.”

A simple web-based interface enables product manufacturers to load high resolution and web quality images to the NMDA library and users can download what they need quickly through an internet browser, the association reported. No special software is needed.
