BoatTEST.com to share content with media

STAMFORD, Conn. — BoatTEST.com will begin sharing its content with recreational marine media worldwide beginning in June, it reported in a recent statement.

Over 1,500 videos covering boat tests, product demos, engine basics, new products and industry news will be made available in several different formats to suit different Web site needs.

“Recently we spoke with the editors and publishers of most major U.S. boating magazines and virtually all would like to make relevant, professionally-produced video content available on their websites,” said Christopher Hughes, COO of BoatTEST.com.

“Most advertisers are unwilling to pay magazines for the costs of video production in addition to what they already spend on space advertising,” Hughes added. “Because we are truly unique in the industry, we are able to make our Internet content and videos available to magazines, classified websites, marine retail websites, and TV programs.”

Hughes called it “a win-win-win for all concerned” as magazines and classified Web sites can pick what BoatTEST.com content they want to reproduce and advertisers will gain wider exposure for content that they have already paid for.

Currently, BoatTEST.com is prepared to furnish tests and videos to classified websites, so links can be placed next to sistership listings. Boat tests, engine specs, builder’s info, news videos and other content are also available in “module” form with the partner site’s header on the top of the page.
