Marine University certifies five dealers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Marine University has certified five new dealers to offer its BOATER101 boating safety education program: Intermarine in Dania, Fla.; Leisure Time Adventures in Molino, Fla.; Marine Connection in West Palm Beach, Fla.; Mt. Dora Boating Center in Mt. Dora, Fla.; and Wilson Landings in Bluffton, S.C.

“BOATER101 is great for new boaters,” said Joe Lewis, president of Mt. Dora Boating Center, in the press release. “People who have never experienced boating are a little apprehensive about it. It’s just the basic fear of the unknown. BOATER101 helps us show them there are resources available to help ‘learn the ropes’ and it’s not as over whelming as it may seem.”

Marine University’s Boater101 program trains dealers and provides materials that allow dealerships to offer nationally standardized boating safety education classes at their facilities. By providing boaters this education at the point-of-sale, dealers reduce potential barriers to sale, establish themselves as a single-source for their consumer’s needs, and have the opportunity to build a loyal consumer base, creating another consumer touch at the dealership.
