Tohatsu America Corp. continues expansion
FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Outboard engine distributor Tohatsu America Corp. (TAC) is expanding its operations into Puerto Rico, it reported in a recent statement.
Because of an increasing demand for Tohatsu outboards in Puerto Rico, the company decided to expand into the area by selecting Blue Water Marine as its new distributor, effective Nov. 1.
This is TAC’s second major expansion in recent months. In October, it reported plans to bring the Tohatsu brand to Canada. This was made feasible by the recent opening of its parent company’s new manufacturing facility in Japan capable of producing 200,000 outboards per year, according to the company.
