Marine Accessories Corp. expands its wakeboard tower biz
VONORE, Tenn. – Marine Accessories Corp. (MAC) has acquired Monster Tower, Inc. of Alpharetta, Ga., the company reported in a recent statement.
Joining Monster Tower’s volume manufacturing and strong presence in the aftermarket to the strength of (XTP) flexible manufacturing and dominance in the OEM wakeboard tower market, while adding in Cook Manufacturing’s (CMC) unique non-welded tower, presents new products and markets to all companies, according to MAC.
Monster Tower, started in April 2003 and known for its affordable universal wakeboard tower, also provides a full line of racks, speakers and other accessories that fit any tower, the company stated. XTP partners with boat manufacturers each year to custom design and build wakeboard towers for new boats right out of the factory, but also has its own growing aftermarket business in OEM towers, universal towers, racks, speakers and accessories, MAC stated.
Monster Tower Founder Bill Bierbower will continue his focus on engineering and the Monster Tower Girls Calendars, while looking for new product and market opportunities with XTP and other MAC companies.
“We look forward to expanding the Monster Tower line of products through XTP and expanding XTP’s sales through our worldwide dealer and distribution network,” said Bierbower. “This is a great opportunity for Monster Tower to increase product lines and customer support infrastructure and have access to new sales and distribution channels.”
