Each boat listing provides a detailed description, including length and engine hours, along with multiple photos of the boat for sale. YouTube and manufacturer videos appear on select listings. With more than 28,000 downloads in six months, the app has generated in excess of 5,000 highly targeted leads to Boat Trader sellers.
To capture consumers further along in the buying process, Boat Trader now offers a concierge service for users that know what they are ready to purchase but cannot find it after conducting a search on the site. The recently launched Boat Locator allows online shoppers to submit a form with details about the boat they’re interested in purchasing — and dealers within the Boat Trader Dealer Network find it for them! The tool works as a targeted lead generation product for dealers as 20% of users plan to or have already purchased a boat from the dealer that has contacted them.
Not only can dealers within the Boat Trader Network maximize their reach to the consumer audience, they also reach other dealers through a wholesale marketplace — designed to move inventory to areas where it’s needed most. And, Boat Trader’s newly integrated business intelligence reporting suite provides dealers with data to help them determine which inventory is in high demand and low supply within their market, in addition to reports measuring their share of searches and pricing comparisons by MSA.
