Megaware Keelguard purchases Hamby’s Protector
OGDEN, Utah – Megaware Keelguard, Inc., a manufacturer of boat protection products, has completed the purchase of keel protector manufacturer Hamby’s Protector, Inc., it reported in a recent statement.
The purchase makes Megaware Keelguard the largest manufacturer of keel protection products in the world, according to the company.
The two companies will continue to operate independently, but share strategic objectives that will allow the group to expand its business development plans and better serve the needs of its customers, according to David Shumway, president of Megaware Keelguard. Roger Sutterfield will continue to manage Hamby’s day-to-day operations as the company’s director of sales.
“We are excited to bring these two excellent brands under one corporate umbrella, allowing us to expand our capabilities to deliver the best boat protection products in the world,” said Shumway.
